New York State Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence (OPDV)
has a website that provides a number of resources for people who may be experiencing, or are survivors of, domestic violence.
Prevent Child Abuse New York
has a prevention and parent helpline available for parents and caregivers that is confidential and multi-lingual and can refer or connect caregivers to community-based services. This helpline is available Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm at 1-800-CHILDREN.

Prevent Child Abuse NY
– Prevent Child Abuse New York is a private, nonprofit agency serving the entire state whose single mission is to prevent child abuse in all its forms. Their work is centered in prevention and, in particular, in those programs that address problems before they ever occur.
New York State Trauma-informed Network
– The goal of this network is to support champions of trauma responsive practices across the state with improved connection and access to quality resources. On their site you can connect with organizations around New York State, search resources and events on a variety of topics, and post resources and events that promote trauma-responsive practices.

How can I access services and supports?
United Way has a 2-1-1 help line for parents and caregivers. This help line is available for health and human services information, referrals, assessments, and crisis support to help them find the assistance they need to address the everyday challenges of living, as well as those that develop during times of disaster or other community emergencies. 2-1-1 is multi-lingual and available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
The NYS Crisis Text Line serves anyone, in any type of crisis, providing access to free 24/7 support. Text HOME to 741741 for support.

NYC WELL helps with problems like stress, depression, anxiety or drug and alcohol use. NYC WELL is available 24/7 for you or someone you care for. Text WELL to 65173 or call 1-888-NYC-WELL for support.
NYC311 provides access to non-emergency NYC-area service resources from housing to transportation.
